I went there because my daughter raved about the chipped beef, so that's what I ordered with fried potatoes and I asked to have onions in my potatoes. I was told the potatoes came with onions. My entire order was cold, which made the chipped beef gravy lumpy and the potatoes were not only cold, but very dry and maybe 5 pieces of onion. If the waitress had bothered to come back and check on us (I had taken a friend) I could have asked for a new order, but she didn't even come to offer refills. When she brought the check, she asked if I wanted a container. She never even asked if everything was ok considering I only took 2 bites. That's when I said everything was cold. She then asked if I wanted a fresh container to take home. at that point, I wanted nothing . I paid the check and left a 12 % tip vs my usual 20%. Considering the coffee was delicious. I could have used a refill on my ice water, which never happened and my friend never had a refill on her iced tea, she was chewing ice st the end.
Great restaurant with great service and food. Could use some updating, but the food and service are what is most important.
Used to love this place but it has become severely run down. The ladies room floor has a huge hole in it with a rug over top so, be very careful not to fall in, also the restroom smells like dead moldy rats. Only one waitress for the whole place. I will never go back.
We came in because the sign outside said " stuffed peppers " . when we came in We asked about the peppers the server said that was a special from a couple days ago . My husband was disappointed with this news so he just got the French onion soup.and We order the bacon and cheese potato skins ( extra sour cream), when they were brought out we didn't have any small plates to eat them and there was no extra sour cream. I ordered the all you can eat fish fry extra tarter sauce.no extra tarter sauce . The server never asked if I would like another serving of fish. We asked the lady that said she was new to get us the small dishes and extra sour cream , she mentioned it to the guy that was training her and he went over to the computers than just stood overlooking the dining room . when she passed him with our items he said something ( not audible to me ) she said I got it. After she brought our items she must have been put in a different area because we no longer saw her. And our server was hard to find as soon as she brought us something she would disappear . your food is delicious but you really need to observe your wait staff and see if you could improve .
